The obverse reads "religioni et bonis artibus" which means Religion and the Fine Arts. The reverse "reg.coll.soc.jesu" I'm not sure about. 33mm. Any ideas?

SOC. JESV = Society of Jesus ==> A Jesuit School.
Perhaps a clue?

Just a wild guess: Could be a registration medal from a Jesuit institution. There are initial on the face of the obverse (?), ie the second image - IIB or something like that.

My suggestion is that you contact the Jesuits yourself and sen them those pictures.

Now that you mention it Medieval, that kind of looks like a monogram. I wonder if it is particular to someone? I will have to do some more research.

The monogram is "IHS", derived from the Greek form of the name "Jesus", commonly used in various Catholic and Orthodox institutions, including the Jesuits. See their logo on Wikipedia, which includes the sunrays, cross and nails you also see on your medal.
