Wot was that? Here in the US our footy club had a Grand finals night. It started a t 10:pm EST with kickoff at 12:30 am and us crazy bu$%^rs stayed up to watch the death by football which went till almost 4 am. For you Geelong fans congrads for you SA fans - I can tell you I have conducted funeral services in the past so I can give you a shoulder to cry on. No COINS won last night it was not worth the odds. Stay tuned in a fortnight I will post the results of the American National footy finals. Your USAFL sanctioned Goal umpire Richard www.fightingsquids.com

G'day, love the website.
I watched at a club in Darwin. During the 2nd quarter, bets were forthcoming as to whether the Cats would win by more than 100 points.
Trivia: which circulating coin of Oz depicts Australian footballers ?

Australian Rules !If you were to stack them up in terms of action and roughness it goes like this Australian Rules football Rugby League/Union American Gridiron Soccer (known to the rest of the world as football) This list goes from roughest to genteelest

G'day Bigfella, AFL has had a Grand Final for nearly a century, and there was a reason for that terminology. NRL used to finish with a "Final", but this year I noticed everyone put "Grand" in front of it, including yourself. Just playing catch-up ? Peter in Darwin

G'day & well-done Gnome ! Now, would you care to have a go at Muckeye's question ... with the salary-cap, and the draft, the Blues will start 2008 with a clean slate, and almost as good picks from the draft as Richmond. Peter in Darwin

On the topic of "Tough Guy" sports, here is an article I read in the "Reader" a Chicago area newspaper..... "Recurring Themes" By Chuck ShepardBen Czislowski,a 24 year old Australian, became the newest member of an elite group of rugby players in July when a medical exam revealed another players tooth lodged in his head. Czislowski, playing for the Brisbane-area team Wynnum-Manly, had collided with opponent Matt Austin in an April match and continued to compete for several months unaware that Austin's tooth remained embedded in the flesh over his left eye. Now that's a rough and tumble sport!Mike

Blues will have the blues again next year. Pick a number for the odds on them. Richmond will finish higher than them on the ladder.

Isn't it wonderful to have so much controversy amongst the AFL supporters and the Grand Final not a week dead yet. Makes for a great 2008 season. Carn the 'blues. regards,
