I need some assistance in grading these two coins. Your opinions are most welcome. I'm looking for the UK grade, not US. I'm trying to learn and so far have only been able to grade off auction descriptions. Haven't really found a reference for grading coins from this era online, mostly just moderns (1800's +). Thanks!

The 1734 I would put at About fine to Fine
The 1749 Fine to Good Fine, I think

It may be my monitor but they both apear to have been treated with something.

Either way they are nice coins and difficult to find on this side of the pond without lightening ones wallet quite abit.

I would go a spot higher
1734 GF/NVF
1749 GF...once the eye has gone that's it.

Nice collectible coins with no problems apart from wear.

Condition wise these coins are well above average for date.
VG and Fine. The British grading system is tougher than Sheldon, but with fewer grading steps.

I have about 20 or so English / British copper half pennies and farthings from Charles 11 to George 111, and none of them are quite as good as these.
