Thinking about picking it up. I have been posting some unusual (as in not seen much on this forum) coins recently, sorry for that. Guess I'm going on a streak or something. Anyway, if anyone can tell me, what would this coin grade and how much would you pay for it?

I saw one of these for sale at one of my trusted ebay sellers. His specimen is a wee bit better and he wants $190. As far as grade? You've got me. I haven't seen enough of these to say. It does show honest wear. Rick Snow in his Guide Book Of Flying Eagle and Indian Head cents states that they actually circulated during coin shortages during the 1840s.

Never seen one. Never graded one. Cool coin. If I was to apply standard grading I would call it VF20

Fairly certain it is an obverse 5 reverse H which would make it an R1....Rulau (slightly outdated?) puts it at about $100 in VF.

Always liked the scrappy looking eagle on these.
Looks original, agree with VF. guessing in the $150. retail range..
