I noticed some people can set their BIN auction for like 30 days. The last time I sold a coin I could set a BIN, but it only gave me the option of 3-10 days. Is it a special privilege to set 30 days BIN auctions?

Another unrelated question: (to avoid flooding the room with threads),

What the heck is with ridiculous BIN prices!? It seems like 99% of BIN coins on ebay are either moderately over priced, or completely outrageous. Usually the latter.

Anything longer than 10 days would mean you're posting it to an ebay store as opposed to an auction.

A lot of sellers set the BIN high because all they need is one buyer willing to pay it. They can always take an offer or relist it lower if they need to sell it fast.

AnemicOak,

Thanks for the info. Does it cost extra money to open up an ebay "store"? Is it worth the trouble for someone who sells stuff once in a great while?

In my opinion if you don't sell a pretty high volume of things on ebay then a ebay store would be a huge waist of money. The people to ask would be Mom and Dad, I think even they were almost ready to close their store when ebay raised their prices the last time for ebay stores even though they sell coins about every week and all of theirs start at 99 cents with no reserve (so they don't usually use the extra days the BIN option would offer)but I know they could definately give you some good advice about ebay and selling. I have used ebay pretty much exclusively for buying coins but have sold very few so I never thought a ebay store was really worth the trouble to start or maintain when weighed with price verses profit from the sales, but I would suggest definately asking them their advice if at all possible
