90% silver, specimen evenly toned in a slightly copperish hue. This issue is catalogued in four varieties, high or low relief star and fine or coarse reeding. I suspect mine is a low relief star, coarse reeding type since that's the most common, but I have nothing to which I can compare it.

I happen to have one of those as well, and in about the same condition.

I'll see if I can get a shot of the coin and reeding to compare.

A bit late, but here I am!

Although like you I have no point of reference, the star on mine looks to my untrained eye to be of similar relief to yours. However, the reeding does appear to be markedly finer. Interesting!

Edit: A quick search revealed this nice little article on the subject: http://www.cubannumismaticassociati...hRelief.html

Thanks for posting that link. Maybe now I can make sense of what I have.
I have been pulling these 20 centavo coins and other denominations of the same design out of silver 'junk' tubs for about five years now. They are one of the most frequently seen silver coin from my regular sources. The 20c's fit neatly into US quarter tubes, and I have almost two full rolls of them, all unsorted as to variety. 'One of these days' I'll get around to going through them all to see which are high and which are low relief.
Also maybe 'one of these days' ebay will allow Cuban coins to be sold on their site without subterfuge or incorrect listing.
