I just picked this set up recently and while it only has 1 coin, I still like it. The reprint of "Poor Richard's Almanack" is pretty cool as well. I may try to find an easier format in which to read it though.

Anyone know what the US Mint product code is/was for this set? And possibly how much it originally retailed for?

Thanks...

The original selling price for the set was $65. It went on sale January 17, 2006.

I saw one at the coin show this weekend. I thought about adding to my C&C collection, but it was in rough shape so I passed.

I'm trying to fill gaps my C&Ch collection as well. I still have the Marshall and Lincoln ones to grab. Abe is kinda expensive right now. Boooo...

I missed it, dagnabbit. 2009 was a period of upheaval in my life and I didn't pay much attention to mint products, unfortunately. I'm slowly filling in the gaps.

It's funny reading through that thread and all the complaints about the slowness of the Mint's web site. Especially considering that they didn't really fix it until about 5 years and countless product releases later.

Congratulations on your newest addition ... sorry you missed the Lincoln C&C set.

You'll catch up someday ... and enjoy all of them.

Thanks, nickelsearcher. For me 75% of the fun is the hunt, so I'm really in no hurry to check everything off the list.

Regardless of what I just said above, one of the things I truly appreciate and enjoy about being a member of this Family is the need/desire/reason to pull coins and sets out of the collection and to examine them closely, reflect fondly on how I acquired them, photograph them, and post about them.

Ok, so maybe it's 50% hunt, 50% Scrooge McDuck, numismatist extraordinaire (I wish).

When I linked the thread I read back through some of it. Memories, good and bad.
