I always get a laugh about when someone describes an error as "Extremely Rare" and key date. I hope no one gets suckered in for a cleaned 1945 dime, with what will likely be a pretty common variety when people start to look.

wow silverdon nice coin I see some doubling on the letters and the denticles. well I just received 5 set 3 from 1 dealer 2 from another dealer. they all have the flags. I checked the Canadian coin catalogue nothing in there checked coin variety and errors nothing there. even googled it nothing there just us.so silverdon what do we have, last week at the club meeting. they never heard tell of it some have checked there uncirculated sets . they have the flag most the member said they always watched for the island little island and no island on the 1968 dollar. they never paided much attention to the dime. I wonder how many of these no flags are out there . your and mind still being in the set means for a very nice grade . if we were to get them certified. have a great one

Pretty cool Rocky. I would think our sets are not the only ones out there. Looks like a weak strike, and as Pacificoin has mentioned an over-polished die. The set I bought may have cost $3.

yes I got all 5 sets at 2.95 a set. I think I will cut the dime out 0f the set. I want to check the denticles. to see if these were minted at the Philadelphia mint . that's because they produced almost the same amount as the Royal Canadian Mint. so one would think the die would be identical. well silver don one more pieces of the puzzle

good day members have been doing some reading and checking on this dime. this uncirculated set I cut the dime out of. was put together by the Royal Canadian Mint. the dime in this set came from the mint in Philadelphia . one would think it would have been one minted in Canada. the flag and the grooves . this dime is worth a lot more than the Canadian one check your Charlton standard catalogue
