I really like the Braided Hair Large Cents.
It's a short set (1839-1857).
I need two more to complete a Red Book set.
Then I may start trying to get many of the varieties; I've got Grellman's book so I should be able to identify them.
I'll never get them all since there's at least one R-8 and some R-7's.

Grellmans book is a big help but its still a challenge to identify some of the varieties. Especially in lower grades.

I find Newcomb's work easier to use but it doesn't list all the known varieties as it was written almost 70 years ago.
