How can one distinguish between small and large beads, please ?

There are a couple of ways.

Check the "A" in REGINA.
If the apex of the "A" points between 2 beads, it is small bead.
If the apex points at a bead, it is a large bead.

Also you can check the "I" in REGINA.
If the middle of the "I" lines up with a bead, it is small bead.
If the middle is to the right, it is a large bead.
