I have the impression - from my phone - of a very lightly circulated coin which has been in the ground and competently (as these things go) conserved for the future. This is based partly on what I see as surface porosity particularly on the left of the reverse. The way some of the darker areas end abruptly tends to reinforce the impression.

However, I may see things slightly differently from my monitor, and one can certainly consider photography factors. Better to shoot outside the plastic if possible.

XF40 details. Surfaces do exhibit signs of being in the ground. Heavily cleaned
