Another attribution test for Celtic. I think this one could be an N-17 R-5 http://www.ebay.com/itm/15156965829...RK:MEBIDX:IT

Celtic will be along shortly...

It's problem free, but really really worn down.

thanks for reply scott. You are becoming quite the EAC style grader! I think the coin is F12 or so.

Jerry. I now know you pretty well. I know your collecting style.

Perhaps you can get $25 at your lcs for it?

Personally (I'm being cruel here) I would not pay more than $15-$18 for this coin. Regardless of attribution. It's too worn.

Sorry Jerry I totally forgot about this coin. I can't find any die variety that fits this coin in Newcomb's work. It has an obverse of an N-17 but without the associated die cracks on the reverse. There should be cracks through the ATE to the rim and through the tops of MERI to the rim and I'm just not seeing them. Could be an N-17 but with out the cracks? You got me on this one Jerry.

early die state in Grellman has no cracks. There some faint lines above the E in One that match up. Evidently in CQR its an R4 not 5
