:)

Just put a smiley face here to bump the thread. It's the most expensive coin I own.

Cool cent despite the porosity. Net grade of FR-2. As far as attribution I can't help. Maybe one of the other copper geeks can help.

Wow. Just wow.
I don't think we've seen this obverse on the Forum before.

Start with the legend in the exergue. The base of Fugio sundials is an "egg and dart" pattern of seven pellets separated by little arcs. This gives a frame of reference for the letters below. Only one obverse has MIND pushed so far to the left that the curve of the D is directly under the third pellet. Following the D, despite the corrosion, I really don't see the diamond ornament that usually separates the two words, but rather, a long, low dash.
Now look to FUGIO. It's followed by a period, of course, but again despite the corrosion, nothing follows the period. All Fugio production obverses but one have cinquefoil ornaments before and after the word.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is the very-appropriately-named Obverse 1. I think the counterclockwise rotation of the band (with STATES UNITED) relative to WE ARE ONE makes it Reverse L, but Obverse 1 is also found paired with the beautiful pattern Reverse CC, with the names of the states engraved on the rings, which was rejected for the simpler reverses that actually made it into production, making the unique-appearing Obverse 1 probably the first Fugio obverse put into production.

I was worried that I may have overpaid at $175

Did you buy it from Kevin at Inde Et Lib Numismatics? I think he had a coin very similar for sale.

Indeetlib (Kevin) is a great guy.

The 1-L is a tough coin rarely encountered.

Congratulations!
