Several months ago I won an ebay auction for a 1906 Barber dime. I was the only bidder and it cost me $45. The auction photo, which is below, was hardly the best, but it looked like a nice coin. When I got it I was thrilled with the quality. I sent it to NGC for grading and today I received a photo from NGC of the graded coin. It came back MS-65! I could not be happier. It's too bad that not all the coins I buy turn out to be this good a deal. Paul Bulgerin

That's a beauty , surprised you were the only bidder. I guess it was his photos.

Any auction purchase whose value you get to immediately slap another zero onto is a good auction purchase.

Congratulations indeed ... excellent example of finding a treasure when others see (or ignore) trash.

Wow, what luck! Indeed bad quality of pictures is a deal-breaker for me, although it seems this buy payed out for you

Nice score Paul! Looking at all the nice stuff you post, I'm guessing it's not luck but lots of time and effort spent searching for these gems. The good scores usually go the those who put in the time.

That is a tremendous score, Paul. I like that you got the Photo Vision images too. Good photography can be a seller's best friend. Many don't realize this.

I'm going to resell some of the coins I submitted and thought it a good idea to spend the extra $15 per coin to get high quality photos from NGC.
I do spend a lot of time cruising through coin listings at the end of the day. It helps me to relax and you never know what you might come across.
