Could be, I guess they could always "enhance" their own bullion seeing that they get them for "cost"

Omg, USD 199 for pained bullion coin! RCM is so tricky....they've choosen the design of bullion coin very well, so everyone wants to modify it , and the modifications are hot like morning baguettes in the Paris.

@ Loony...wow. I have not been back to their site since ordering it yesterday morning. The only reason I bought the first Burning Maple is that are or were an advertiser of the forum and I saw a picture of it as I was browsing so I clicked on the link and ordered it, so I have been on their email list since then. When the burning ASE came out at $149 I thought about it long and hard but eventually ordered that one. When I read the email yesterday morning about this new one I could have sworn it said $99 but it was early before coffee so I thought about it on the way to work and later in the morning I pulled up the site and the price was $109 ($106 with the coupon code) so I pulled the trigger. I have a 27 year old son and he loves pirate type coins, skulls etc. I have ordered him the Privateer coins and some different hand poured skulls and thought this one fit into the theme. I would NOT have pulled the trigger at $199 tho so I'm glad I didn't think about it too long!

@Debrajc... I'm glad I bought this before the price jump, too. I like First Coin Company because, unlike other sellers, there's no extra work for Canadians in getting taxes back if the contents are marked incorrectly.
However, Pela-Coins is still offering it at a reasonable price, and shipping is only USD$10.35. Fighting with Canada Customs is worth it at that price.
Other overseas sellers are trying to sell it for about CAD$200 plus shipping, and some people are buying.
My guess is that First Coin Company is patiently waiting for everyone else to sell out because their price is still USD$199.95. It appears that no one is buying at that price...yet. You never know.

Additional news for the people who likes these coins: New coin issued! First time in history:
"Burning African Elephant"
With the mintage of only 500 units it will be a hit and a "must have" coin for the collector. Now for USD 99 only to get at the "First Coin"

I am tempted to just buy it now.... But I am not sure, that this is what you will like to have...basically enchanced by someone bullion coin. Btw, have you seen the 2016 Somalian Elephant? They re-used image from 2009 (the popular one), but flipped it. And the purity increased to .9999 (while was 999).

Time to bring out the baguettes! I agree that there are too many coloured bullion coins out there, but I have to admit...this one is stunning: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTYwMFgxN...J-z/$_57.jpg

Not "Burning" yet, but probably will be soon: The "Black Enigma" series, that basically was the "parent" of the painted "burning" series, got unexpected turn: the new coin, enhanced with gild and ruthenium, now have a name " Shade of Enigma", got the " Nanogram" : the serial number engraved (on coa? on coin?) 2015 1 oz Silver Coin - Russia - Shades of Enigma - St. George and the Dragon - Silver & Ruthenium & Gold Platedhttp://www.thecoinshoppe.ca/2015-1-...gold-plated/Production : 2000 units (pay attention to face value - something like USD 0.05-0.10 )

There is no end to this. Everything low production, but the variety as many as junk.... IMO, only the "Golden Enigma" series has a good taste. The new one: corrected - I think it not the new, just advertised as "specially priced": China ECLIPSE OF THE SUN CHINESE PANDA 2015 Silver Coin ¥10 Yuan Black Ruthenium & Rose Gold Plated 1 ozhttps://firstcoincompany.com/S/chin...-plated-1-ozSeems like the colourization could be applied anywhere on the bullion coin and will be presented as unique stuff.
