Just looking at this quarter makes me think its fake.... It weights 5.1 grams...

IMO it's not worth counterfeiting a quarter (some do exist, though), especially one of this good quality. I think this might be on the low end of mint tolerance, then add wear, then the metal getting scratched off it from coin rolling machines lots of times.

See if it will stick to a magnet. Genuine ones are made from pure nickel which is mmagnetic. A counterfeit is probably not magnetic.

cast lead/mix dull gray appearance weight varies will look to dig them out not bad really designed to fool vending machines/parking meters I think
