Many of us have commented on the extreme number of new releases currently being churned out by the
RCM. I thought it would be interesting to compare its 2015 plan for 300+ new coins to its "Collector Coin" output in 1995.
Here's the list of non-circulating issue released by the
RCM in 1995:

2. Whooping Crane, 50-cent, 0.925 silver
3. Gray Jay, 50-cent, 0.925 silver
4. White-tailed Ptarmigans, 50-cent, 0.925 silver
Above coins were issued as either a two-piece set (1&2, 3&4) or as a four-piece set. They were Year 1 issues of five-year "Discovering Nature" series.

Above two coins (7&8) were issued as part of "Canadian Aviation" series; they were the first coins of the second 10-coin set.
