This one I think is Machine Doubling, the shelf on the top of the 7 and 0 look a little flat, but I thought it could be maybe a 1DO-17

These are the first of 24 BU rolls I got. I got most of the ones Charles listed in his roll thread, I started with the 70-S and am working through them. I also got a nice microscope from Coinoptics.com that really makes a difference looking at these.

Could be but the spread is so close that this is one that you have to look at in hand to really feel comfortable with. It has potential:-)

First one is definitely a doubled die - not certain whether it's 012 though.

Second one is definitely Machine Doubling.

Very nice find there...I hope you get enough of them to make the search worthwhile!

Congratulations on a nice doubled die, Chrsb. Is that your first?

I wondered if you wouldn't mind sharing what microscope you bought. I've been thinking of getting one too. I anyone else has any recommendations I'd be interested too. Thanks.

I couldn't tell from the first pics if it was doubled or not. I was correct with the the second pic and got that one right. I too would like to know what type magnifier you got.

Thanks guys! I will take some better pics of the first one when I get home from work today. This is my first DDO I found myself and did not pay for! Makes you feel a little better about it.

I got my scope from here- http://www.coinoptics.com/order/cat4.html , I got the MP613. I am happy with it so far. I am regretting not getting one with variable magnification though. It is a lot easier then using a loupe and faster going through the rolls.

Here are some more photo's, I am a little frustrated that these pics do not come out nicer. Anyways I took the same shots that are on Coppercoins site for the 1970S-1DO-012 and none of the markers match, maybe this is another die state?
