Welcome!
A shortage of small change created a class of privately minted English tokens known as "17th century tradesmen's tokens." This penny token reads: ROBERT FREEMAN AND THOMAS / MESSINGER IN LEEDS THEIR PENY.
In "Williamson's Trade Tokens," this one is listed as Yorkshire #189. Given the depicted jug, it's proposed that Messrs Freeman and Messinger ran a pub.
