I've seen a lot of Mercury dimes who's middle bands were split but top and bottom were not. Like Ssuperddave said, the top left just doesn't look fully split. Perhaps it's the glare in the lighting, but it just doesn't look quite right.

Disagree. I don't see anything there. On the top bands the middle of the three goes under the leftmost stick, so it doesn't go as far left as the other two.

This is actually extremely rare (as in I can't recall ever seeing it on an MS Mercury dime and I specialize in the series).

Guess the ones I've seen weren't fully split in the middle then. I'll try to find an example though.

The top and bottom are usually fully split even on really poorly struck examples:

This is a typical 1945 (worse examples are common), with the center of the reverse really flat and a lot of detail missing on the obverse, and very late die state, but the top and bottom bands are fully split and rounded.
