Hello, Aka-Jpaw here. From Arkansas. Great forum, glad to be a member. I've got questions and even offer answers but my dad is the big collector in the family and he has lost 80% of his vision and he has an enormous amount of coins and currency we are trying to go thru and organize and get an idea of what is what. Over 60 years of collecting hopefully yields a win or two. I know he'd love to know and I'm curious myself but mainly to see the joy it'll bring him. The time spent with him is obviously worth the most, no coin could beat that but it sure would sweeten the experience.

I am from Winchester, Virginia USA
I am fairy new to coin collecting (about a year) but love learning new things all the time. I am looking forward to getting to know the members here.
I started collecting walking liberty coins in 2021 without knowing what I was doing. I was smart enough to buy slabbed ms70 that were graded by NGC or PCGS. I paid retail prices but at least I got what I paid for.
I did make one foolish purchase: a bronze ancient that was a fairly common coin. I could have had it for $10, but in my haste, I paid $40 for it. I love it and will pass it along to my family members when the time comes. I just glad I didn't make a much bigger mistake and lose a lot more money.
Currently, I have focused on finding special coins in the wild. I have a couple of error dimes with die chips but nothing special as of yet.
The more I learn, the wider my coin collecting interests become. Again, looking forward to learning from the members here.

Robert from Texas, grew up helping my dad sort through coins 50 years ago (old briefcase full of bank rolls of coins he had collected although never opened. He passed in 2021 and recently the executor of his estate gave me the old briefcase. Gone are all those old rolls. Although he still has loose coins in there and world coins, it's all kinds of stuff. Once I learn how to navigate the forum I will need lots of help going through error

Hi from B.C. Canada, used to be on this forum but forgot my username and had to start from scratch. Hoping I will find more time to devote to error and variety finds it was my passion before and still is. Lincoln cents are high on my list of favorites but Canada no longer uses the cent so its pretty hard to aquire any to look through. Hope to aquire some Lincoln cents somehow, happy to be here and hi to all.  |

Hello! I'm Angie. I'm from the Midwest, Kansas to be more specific. Glad to be here. Hoping to learn a lot from you all! I haven't been extremely serious about collecting. I have done some here and there. I just recently started going through and putting coins in flips and have been doing some cherry picking.

Infotekkie here. Live in a small community outside of Grants Pass OR. Technically I've been collecting since I was 10 yrs old when I found a Mercury dime in the wall of a home we were demolishing. Since then, I have dabbled with collecting off and on and mostly back in recently. I have got a lot of new "toys" to help me see with more detail the coins I have collected. I now am able to sort/appraise/and place in secure holders. What I am here now for is to pick minds of persons that have been doing this as a hobby for a lot longer than I have. I mostly collect coins, but am getting into currency too. Coins, I have 9 different countries I have coins from |
