I'm from Mustang, OK. Was always interested in coin collecting and dabbled here and there with a few coins, but 3 years ago, my wife's uncle passed away and she became the representative for his estate. We found several jars of pennies that he had been keeping since the mid 70's and I decided I needed to look at every one of them...and now my collection is over 1000 coins, most not really worth anything, but I have several that could possibly help my finances out some if I ever get them graded.

Hi, my name is Carly, and I am from Sutherlin, Oregon, about an hour south of the city of Eugene. I inherited a collection of coins, including Eisenhower dollars and Kennedy halves. My uncle bought a lot of mint sets, as well as SMS sets and proof sets and broke them open to put together his own sets to sell. I have actively collected for 5 years, and I love Peace dollars. I am struggling with telling a satin finish from a regular strike with some pristine coins from the 1960s and 70's that I received, especially the nickels. I have continuously been learning to grade , and still have a lot to learn. I am looking forward to meeting everyone and learning from some experts here.

Aloha from Lana`i City on the island of Lana`i, Hawai`i; the smallest of the inhabited islands with a population of about 3,100-ish. There are no stoplights or fast food joints, and the town is asleep by 10:00 pm. Because of the 50 State Quarter series, I have been tossing coins in various jars for about 20 years, and have finally decided to get things organized. By the end of 2009, I was able to compile 4 complete State Quarter sets, but things got tight and, with the exception of the first 15 colorized coins, we had to eat those for dinner, l I have been chasing coin redemption ever since. The amount of change I have now is fairly overwhelming, but I have a full set of coin folders for everything now and I'm slowly getting through it.

I'm Chris, I live in Manistee Michigan, USA. I collect a variety of coin but my favorite by far is the UK 2-pound Silver Britannia. The reason I join the forum is to meet others who collect these coins and to promote some of my listings on ebay. I also hope this forum can help me find these coins to fill out my NGC registries. My main reason for selling coin on ebay is to invest those returns on furthering my collection.
