I like the maratimes, never quite made it to Halifax, but I was pretty amazed with the Bay of Fundy (no...can't stand that song). There was a lighthouse on a small island you can walk over the landbridge at low tide. What I found fascinating is how little safeguards they have to prevent people from doing it. They just caution you about the tide, but I can see myself walking out there about half way and knee deep water rushing worse than any stream you dare cross.
