The second coin matches my Japanese 1 mon coin. It's brass, and not dated, though these coins were struck between 1668 & 1700. The reverse is marked Edo (Present Day Tokyo.)

The first coin is the same as the second on, except it isn't marked Tokyo.

C # 1.1 & 1.2

Whether or not these are genuine and not reproductions are beyond me, though.

Thank you both! That was a great help. I am at a loss with just about anything Asian.

Frankly speaking, I think the first two coins are fake. I happen to play with such coins in my home when I was a little kid. The chinese characters on the coin are much beautiful than these.

They both look fine to me. Quality of the calligraphy of these coins varied considerably, and the top one looks like it's probably made of iron, and has gone all rusty; that would account for it's crude appearance. Tcekolin, can you check and see if that one is attracted to a magnet?

No, those coins aren't counterfeit ywan. They aren't stuck coins but instead cast coins, which means molten iron/copper were poured into a mold and then formed.
