Very intrested in doing so but I have no idea where to start. It looks very overwellming. would somone have a site where it explains it for the UBER NOVIS.

For example D N CONSTANTIVS P F AVG what dos dn meen and PF AVG ? I found other examples FL IVL CONSTANTIVS NOB C, NOB C ?

I think if I was able to know the terminations I could decipherthe coins beter and look them up faster

I recommend the FORVM Ancient Coins NumisWiki - they've scanned in an old, public-domain numismatic dictionary and split it up by article. It's not perfect, but it's a good start.

DN stands for dominus noster, "our lord", referring not to God but to the emperor (or caesar) in question. Seeing it on a coin pins it down to post-Constantine the Great.

PF is the abbreviation for pius felix "faithful and happy". Largely a meaningless title, but one only given to senior emperors.

AVG is of course the abbreviation for augustus, the designation of a senior emperor.

NOB C is the abbreviation for nobilis caesar, "noble caesar", the designation of a junior emperor.
