I have this dollar bill that is almost completely blank on the front side. All that is on it is "Federal Reserve Note" "The United States of America. The two seals and then at the bottom "One Dollar" and everything is gone. Including the serial number. Nothing was printed on it. The back is perfectly fine. Does anyone know anything about this? I have tried to do some research but I can't find anything about it.

Help

I don't know much about notes but is there anyway you can get a scan of this note and post it for us to see? I think this could be a pretty valuable error note if its not a washed out note of some kind. Like I said I am not a note collector but I have never seen anything like you describe before and for something to get out of the BEP like this would probably make it a pretty scarce note

We really need to see pictures or scans. There's no way to really tell you what you have just based on a description.

sure there is. It sounds like you have a note that missed a printing stage. Or it may be severly underinked.

There are a lot of things that could have happened to this note and pictures are essential. If the bill was altered after printing, there is no value in it. With pictures, we can make a determination if it is a true error that happened at the Mint.

Since OP indicated that the serial numbers are missing, the only possibilities I see are a massive foldover, or a major foreign obstruction.

If this is indeed a legit error note, it would be very valuable in all conditions.

We need scans!!! (both sides as it may be easier to make a determination if the note is altered or not.)
