Weigh it, if it weighs 27.20 gr. I could be real, I purchased one that was in a bundle and it was fake. Hope that didn't happen to you.

Oh lord, just purchased it from a LCS here in town, I sure hope it isn't fake. I don't have a scale, any other way of authorizing that this is real?

I have a scale that reads ounces and it fluctuates between .9 and 1 ounce. So somewhere between 25.5 grams and 28.3 grams.

VF35 Looks ok to me at first glance, but no expert here. You can get an inexpensive scale for around $10....good to have.

Just went to Wally world and bought a scale. Weighs 27 grams. I'm gonna take it to a different place and have them look at it now just for peace of mind.

Take it to a dealer and do a comparative ring test against a known genuine example.
High risk of fakes with these. Could have it slabbed, but you need more information regarding authenticity before justifying the cost for confirmation. Grading would just be a bonus in this case.

If it doesn't resolve to 0.01g the money was wasted; 27g is an inappropriate weight for that coin. A scale with too little resolution is worse than useless - it will deceive you.

So the other shop said its real, and to make sure I asked if they would purchase it from me. They said yes. I didnt sell it but I feel confident its real now! I think this will be my last Trade dollar purchase, too much worry involved lol

VF-35. Don't be afraid of Trade dollars, there are just as many fakes of any old US coin of the same value. Just learn how to tell the real deal from the fake.

I wanted to get some more opinions on authenticity and grade on this with some better pictures. I've been told by a different dealer that it looks real but I am still concerned. Coin weighs 26.94 grams. Thanks in advance for the help!

If a moderator could add an "Updated" to the title that would be great

That is a good weight for a coin with some wear on it. Mine in similar condition and cracked out of a slab for my type set weighs 26.92g which is almost dead on yours.

I am not an expert on these but nothing looks obviously out of line to me. If two dealers have asserted it to be real, I would be pretty comfortable with it.
