I am having a little trouble grading this coin.

It is one of the 1797 stemless varieties, S-131, with die break behind head. The reverse is well detailed, while the obverse seems a little weakly struck in my opinion.
The surfaces are otherwise smooth and evenly toned a dark brown. A few rim taps are noted primarily on the obverse.

I have compared to a few examples in various sites, and have tentatively graded this as F15 obverse/VF20 reverse.

Do the copper experts agree?

Yes, GERMANICVS. According to the EAC grading guide your grade is quite accurate. The obverse does appear to be slightly weak but the detail in the reverse is very good, especially in the leaves in the wreath. Always a joy to see your copper GERMANICVS. Beautiful coin.

Thank you Celticsoul - your opinion is very much appreciated.

I spent some time comparing my example of S-132 with various others,
(Heritage, EarlyCopperCoins, Goldbergs) and this one does seem slightly weak on obverse for a full VF20. The reverse and the surface quality does compensate a bit, but overall F15/VF20 seems right.

Thank you again, copper friend.

I might go VF-20.
However, the EAC guys might go a little lower.
