As I said in other threads, ancient coins are typically very thick, with high relief - this looks much too thin to be Roman or Celtic. For some reason, the phrase "Slavic imitation of Venetian or Byzantine coin" is in my head when I look at this piece, but I can't explain exactly why, or be sure that's even on the right track.

This one has me stumped, it is at least medieval but from where I have no idea. I'm going to move this over to the Ancient/Medieval coin section hopefully one of the medieval collectors can ID it.
