As of an hour or so ago (2:30p PDT) US mint website was still taking online orders. However toll free number recording stated that due to demand, no orders were being taken (as of around noon PDT). So get you order in if one hasn't already!
Also of note, unlike some recent commems, proofs have vastly outnumbered uncircs in sales. With a sales limit of all types of 600k, but only around 100k uncircs sold, those speculating may wish to order uncircs. I ordered the proof to match my others...
I've missed y'all as I was in OR and WY. Spoke with a forum member from the former, but no cell coverage while I was getting snowed on in the wind river range...

I ordered both Pr. & Unc.the day they went on sale. I've received my Pr. coins but the Unc. are still on backorder. Kinda weird if they have only sold 100k. But who knows how the mint schedules the minting. Man, the proofs sure look good!!

BTW, doesn't it snow everywhere in August?

The information I have received this morning stated they were in the 540,000 range sold and some options have been lowered in an effort to get more proofs on the market? None the less this coin is going to sell out and probably soon. It has taken ALL my will power to resist buying this commemorative so if I can only hold out a few more days!!!

Ever have august snow in the Madison valley, KT? I was at roughly twice your elevation in the Winds when it snowed-only about an inch there, but a dump up higher. Lots of comfy, 35 degree rain where I was prior to the snow...

BTW, I didn't listen carefully enough to the mint phone menu-
USMC coin and stamp set is no longer avail-coins alone can still be ordered by phone as well as online.

Terry-what is the best source for up to date mintage online?

I receive various online newsletters from the major coin magazines and thats how I got info this morning. Numismatic News offers a news letter and thats where this came from. You can check their wes site but not quite sure whether it would be Numismatic News or Krause? Been a while since I signed up. Let me know what you find!

It snowed this year on the 11th, just about ruined everything in the garden. The tomatoes are pretty much done for this year.
Ya just never know in the Rockies
