Now that I have my new Australian varieties book, and not much sleep last night I might add. I hope to be able to find some of these varieties here at our shows. We do have some dealers that specialize in foreign coins, but most of them really don't know what they have. I think they mostly sell their US stock, but keep a small inventory of foreign coins. I didn't realize how many varieties there were in the Australian penny and half penny, it appears I have a lot of searching to do in the future.

wish me luck,

G'day, good luck, and what a great header to a thread.
I love those old pennies: six of them weighed heavily in my pocket, all the way to the ice-cream shop. And, back then, 6d bought a substantial ice-cream - enough to keep a little boy happy.

That's a nice numismatic image.
