If I'm not mistaken it was given to ever schoolchild in Canada on the 100 yr Anniversery/Centenial of the country.

Yes it was. I remember my Grade 2 teacher handing these out to us.

Wow, neat, correct me if I'm wrong but these are silver right? Once, I could've picked it for my prize at a coin show draw, but I didn't/ But it's cool that it was given to every school child at the centennial. Interesting info
