Just got this 1837 Large cent ---liked it because of all the die cracks-- turns out to be a scarcer variety n-15 in the latest die state I can find it online. My post is not about that but if the mark thought the middle of the obverse is PMD or some kind of planchet flaw. It is fairly deep, but where it meets the devices it does not seem to go deep if at all. I just want opinions on what everyone thinks.

I have the impression of it as a planchet flaw, a sort of gouge which filled in at the devices during the strike.
