They should've post something by now! I'm not sure, but I *think* it could be.

This is out of specialty so I went searching for info. Boy golly, there ain't much of that. Heritage has never seen one. Coin Facts admits it exists. Not much else. This thread will probably become a prominent Google result for FS-803 even if we never figure it out.

This variety is fairly evident and wouldn't need such high magnification to see, at least on an early die state coin. Here is a very useful website-with photos-for Buffalo nickel doubled dies. http://varietyvista.com/index.htmBTW-I was the first to report this variety.

I was hoping for that myself, since there are no images at Variety Vista either, only the CONECA master listing which has a description and nothing else. For what it's worth, it sounds close.
I'll keep looking.

I'm by NO means an expert, but have seen/had my share of doubled dies over the 30+ years of collecting, and in my opinion, that is for sure a doubled die. it exhibits all the characteristics (ie: sharp separation on the serifs, etc) A very nice piece!

I've decided to send it in to PCGS for grading and variety attribution with my fingers crossed!
I would like to get the groups consensus on its grade, so......
What do you guys think it might come back graded?
Again, thanks to everyone who tried to help me pin this one down!
