I will be carrying this coin in my pocket as a pocket piece for a while. I will update it with pictures daily so you guys can see how a proof pocket piece holds up. Once the damage gets to a certain point I will stop posting pics. lol.

Beautiful quarter. Did you find it in circulation, or crack it out from a proof set, or buy it loose? I don't know how keen I'd be to carry a pristine proof coin as a pocket piece, but if it was already compromised by circulation.... But then again I have consigned my share of BU coins (including my current, a 2013 ASE) to the pocket, so you can't go by me I guess.

You'll have to keep us posted on its progress!

Yeah, it is an impaired proof as you can see the scratch on the reveres under united. I bought it loose.

I would accidently spend it, it's why I keep a Ike dollar as a pocket piece. That reminds me that I need to take pictures of mine again. It's been traveling in my pants since November.
