Sorry about the photo quality, these are photos from the seller. How would they grade, and are they worth anything?

Hi Pytellc -

In the UK, these are all coins I would expect to find in a dealer's junk bin or cheap tray - my LCS would have these in the 15p (25c) each or 10 for a pound ($1.50) tray.

The 1940 George VI halfpenny I'd grade as Good Fine / Near VF, the 1958 halfpenny as VF and the 1927 George V penny as Fine. They are in about average circulated condition for British bronze coins pulled out of circulation in the last few years before decimalisation.

A nice little piece of history, and portraits of three different British monarchs!

Thanks NumisRob. These are my first English coins and I guess I overpaid at two dollars for all three. Oh well! Next time I'll know better, not that two dollars is going to hurt much.

I think you did OK for two dollars, considering the journey they made to get to the States! Perhaps I should go over to the USA and open a coin shop - not sure if they'd give me a green card though...

Not a bad idea! And yes, you're right. They must have great stories to tell about how they ended up on this side of the pond.

How can $2 be over paying?
It is neither here or there.
Nice pocket pieces.
