First coin is a Greek 10 drachma from 1976. A common coin that had a face value of about 3 or 4 cents and was demonetised when Greece joined the Euro in 2002.

Second coin is a current Japanese 100 yen. Face value about 82 cents. The date 48 in the Japanese Showa era is equivalent to 1973.

Greece might yet get booted out of the EU, or at least be denied use of the Euro as its currency. Not that I'd hold onto my drachmas even if a comeback seemd imminent....
