I am horrible at telling the small and large dates. Which one do I have here? Thanks!

To me the date looks different when I put these side by side. The coin on the left is one I'm asking about:

The picture with the reference lines looks like the 1960 Large Date.

In looking at your pictures, I don't think you've posted a small date anywhere. I think the close up in the first thread is a large date, and when you put the two coins side by side, they both look the same to me. I think the link docsfishin provided shows it perfectly. While it states that the top of the 9 and 1 are even on the small date, I think the optical illusion to me make the 9 actually look shorter. I don't see that on any of those you posted. Plus it looks like the 6 is a pretty good "tell" and the top of your 6 seems to go pretty far to the right.
If you look at the photo amac supplied, it certainly looks like the 9 is shorter, and the top of the 6 stops prematurely.....
I am by no means an expert, but I don't think any are small date except amac's...

OK, I think I finally see it now. LOL For me, the indicator is the bottom loop of the 6. On the small date the loop ends much lower than on the large date. ARRRGGGGG....this gets me everytime!

BadThad,
If you want your pics to show in the listing instead of just the link, remove everything in front of http, and everything after jpg. Then highlight and click on the image icon. You have a lot of extra stuff behind jpg especially.
I will try to add the photo and the current way in your last post, so if you click edit reply in your post you will see the difference.

What if I told you that every small date 60 Business strike cent I have seen has a notch on the inside end of the loop of the 6 .

Thad I will have to take a few pictures ,, I will get them up in a little while ,, I have to take a trip back to the job for a couple of hours .
once you see what I'm talking about the small and large will no longer be a mystery .
By the way in your comparison picture above the left one is a large date and the right one is a small date ,, compare the inside end of the loop of the 6's look for a small notch on the inner side of the small date loop and then look at the same place on the large date .
