The fields on the reverse gives the appearance that the coin has been harshly cleaned and if that's the case, it's worth no more than bullion (assuming I didn't miss a rare date/variety situation).

AU Details - Improperly Cleaned. The color is probably more yellow in person.

I don't think it's been cleaned - gold scratches when you look at it sternly. AU55 to me.

Dave, based on the reverse picture at the top, the coin looks like it was harshly cleaned. I agree gold is soft and scratches easily but the reverse shows evidence of extreme movement of something like a brush or cloth across the fields. Regardless of how it got that way, by the looks of that picture it appears to be a problem.

I received this coin from my Father , the story goes that he was in Vegas and this was a prize he won playing a slot machine.
