OTTAWA, ON, Aug. 30 /CNW Telbec/ - The Royal Canadian Mint is pleased to
announce the opening of their new boutique today in the Port of Quebec City.
This is the first boutique operating outside of the Mint's two main locations
in Ottawa and Winnipeg.
The boutique will be open to visitors, passengers and crews of various
cruise ships arriving at the Port between May and the end of October, which is
the height of tourist season. Passengers of the Queen Mary 2,
Queen Elizabeth 2 as well as other ships will be able to visit the Port and
purchase current year numismatic products from the Royal Canadian Mint.
"The Royal Canadian Mint is committed to expanding our customer base, as
well as introducing Mint products to as many Canadians and visitors as
possible," said David C. Dingwall, President and CEO of the Royal Canadian
Mint. "This is a welcome addition to our two existing boutiques, as well as to
the many products the Mint sells online."
The Port of Quebec is Canada's oldest port and one of the fastest growing
ports on the St. Lawrence, welcoming approximately 250,000 visitors per year.

The Royal Canadian Mint, an ISO 9001-2000 certified company, is the Crown
Corporation responsible for the minting and distribution of Canada's
circulation coins. In operation since 1908, the Royal Canadian Mint is

I think the US mint should have more physical outlets, and have a booth at major shows several times/yr.
