Well I finally got around to upgrading the 1832. This is a tough date to find in the vf range problem free. I happy with this one and it goes well with the rest of the set.

That PCGS 12 looks like an easy 15 from here.

A nice set you have put together. Congratulations. I am still 2 dates short (besides of course the 2 rarities) of completing my large diameter CBQ set.
I'll join those who say that this series is much under-appreciated when compared to the capped bust halves. One of the mysteries of american numismatics I will never fully understand, I guess.

Super cool! Those Capped Bust quarters are not easy. I had read somewhere that the halves tended to be kept while the quarters were used heavily in commerce and so didn't survive in collectible grades in significant numbers.

Any interest in going for the large diameter set?

KenKat...I have lots of interest in the large diameter, but I don't have lots of cash and that is what it would take to complete that series!

I really enjoy this set. Problem free examples are hard to come by...just take a look on ebay.

GERMANICVS....Please post pics of your large diameter set if you get the chance. I have seen your other coins from your collection and I am sure your CBQ's are no different!

Agreed - major dollars involved.

I have a single 1825 that I came across when I was looking for one for my 7070. I knew it wouldn't fit but I bought it anyway! One of my favorite coins.

I thought so to KenKat. I have a serious problem when I find a CBQ with good eye appeal. I just can't say no!

Congrats on piecing together such a well-matched set! This series is underrated.

As a longtime collector of counterstamped coins, I have but a few of the early quarters that are stamped. However, I have about three dozen Spanish two real pieces that were stamped by U.S. merchants, circa 1840-50's. This disparity suggests to me that the need for quarters, two-bit pieces, during these early years was largely met by the then circulating Spanish coins.
