On my days off this week I made my rounds looking for gold or silver coins (like most of us do) and one of my stops I was revealed this beaut. I'm not too sure about what the "Bass" means in the grade. So I Googled it and I guess it was in a special collection? I was curious on how many of this collection is out there. Plus any other info you might have on either this coin or the Bass collection itself would be appreciated. Oh ya here is the coin...enjoy!

Here is a link to the biography of Harry Bass. Probably more than you want to know, but interesting to me. Not so much on the actual collection of coins, though.

I rather enjoy owning coins that have a pedigree. It's nice to know where a coin visited before it visits with me.

I agree, it's my first pedigree coin and I feel there will be more added.
