Again a little confused with what I read about the history of this date. Did they make (purposely) both a 47 and a 47ML with the et ind imp obv. motto ? I have one of each so I was curious. I thought the ML designation was to show it was work in progress to remove the et ind imp. Thank's again
The 1947ML was minted in 1948 as the dies hadn't arrived, but there was a pressing demand for coins. The addition of the maple leaf was to denote that it was struck in 1948, even though it was dated 1947.
