I am not into silver
Somebody new to collecting asked me how to preserve an Hercules 50 FF
which looks to me like a blast white MS 65
I do not think interceptor shields or Airtights are readily availble in Belgium
Apart from a mylar selfadhesive 2x2 ( will be larger ) I do not know any answer apart from maybe a low plasticizer double flip
Anybody have a suggestion ?

Ageka,

what do you mean?, is the coin to big for a regular 2x2?, there are 4x4's from Hartberger availible for those coins, I use them myself for the 1 Mon pieces from Japan.

The regular 2x2 's I have in all sizes and selfadhesive go up to
39.5 mm you can just squeeze an austrian 4 goldducats in it
Apparently the coin is 41 mm

I do not know whether the link will work
It is silver Hercules 50 french francs designed by Dupre
1977 30 grams

That is a large coin !!! even larger than our SAE's by a little bit 40.6 MM But it might fit in an airtite holder for that coin !!

If you cant find one let me know I will get one and send it off to you !!

Mighty kind of you to offer
I will enquire shopwise and internet wise ; I think my town has one stamp shop left which has some coin albums and coinholders

The selfadhesive 4x4's on the internet would be like 8 euro
2 euro for the holders (minimum quantity 25 )and 6 euro for the postage

Postage is horribly expensive over here

Carl I will take you up on the offer my nephew needs one and I have a solitary silver eagle 2004 which for the moment is taped shut in a low plastiser flip
There is a usagold.com forum and I won the silver eagle as second prize for forecasting correctly the prize of gold
So 5 would last me a lifetime and my nephew is moving on to eurocoins
The present 50 FF was bought in Austria for 6 euro
I will pm my address
