The majority of the known peices are in a single grade catagory of Very fine,, NOT G or VG notEF or AU but VF. with this warning ! Absolutely and positively do not buy any 1893-S that has not been certified by a leading TPG and avoid like the plague offerings of uncertified coins "from an old estate" or "from my grandfathers collection" offered on the internet . Here is a picture of an authentic 1893S date and the date from the coin being auctioned. It appears to be a clear forgery to me. Also, there is supposed to be a small diagonal polishing mark above the T in LIBERTY which I do not see. Take a look here for more info on forgeries of this date. Report this Post to the Staff
