1803 Large Cent... Missing Nose...?

Sheepy Valued Member United States 152 Posts	Posted 11/08/2007 5:17 pm Hey All, I just got her today... What's up with the nose? Did someone do this or has anyone seen this on another cent? The 1 has been gouged... you can see the left edge of it but the rest has been somewhat gouged off. Please give me honest opinions. Report this Post to the Staff

MorePower New Member United States 49 Posts	Posted 11/08/2007 5:45 pm It looks like there's a scratch/cut running from where the nose was "north" toward the Y in LIBERTY. I'd guess someone removed the nose quite some time ago. Report this Post to the Staff
