Hi,

do you know the weight remedy of the 1793 Chain Cent?
CoinFacts says +/- 208 grains (+/- 13.5 grams). But how much tolerance is there?
Thank you.

I see, that even the diameter is not specified (+/- 27 millimeters).
So, there need to be some tolerance range of .xx grams (I think ^^).

There was no legally specified tolerance range for the chain cent. The diameter could also not be specified because, being struck in an open collar, the final diameter of the coin varied depending on the force of the blow from the press.
