I know that it is still a while aways, but I am so excited for the new Lincoln Cent to come out. I have looked at a few of the designs for it and they look pretty good but none of them look like a redesigned cent. They just seem similar to the State Quarters or the westward journey nickels. I'm not sure if you understand what I'm trying to say... Ohwell. But anways, does anyone out there plan to get rolls of these when they come out? -Ben |

I very, very excited about it! I'll be grabbing up rolls as fast as I can get them....mainly to look for the best examples for my collection.

I could give a hoot about Lincoln cents but I will probably get a few of each design when they come out (even if its in the proof/mint sets)

If you can get them. It took till the first of October to get the 2007-D Cents here. Get a box early don't ensure you will get early die coins. When I do get them, they always looked like they made every Cent in the country first before I get my rolls. Even mint roll quarters aren't any better than you can get from your local bank. So I bet they will be selling mint rolls from the mint. There will big interest in that year for them.

As with each year I'll get some for my Albums and that is all. With the millions of hoarders that will be grabbing them by the rolls, they'll never be worth more than a cent.

It will be interestiing to see a new design on the penny after all these years, saw an article that suggested having the wheat design be reissued for one of the 2009 designs.

Like they did what on Feb 12 1909? If you mean issued the Lincoln Cent your way too early. The Lincoln Cent came out Aug 2 1909. |

Be sure to get it early as possible in case they change something. Remember the Cheerios dollar?

Depends how ugly they make the design and if they change it from only 4 different designs to 730 designs for the year. Then I'll just collect up to the Lincoln shoe series.

It always seems with anything new, they have to make 50 different types. That gets annoying. Maybe I'm just boring :)
