Thanks, SsuperDdave, I have included photos of start and ends of the feature. I tried looking at the thread on my computer and there seems to be enough resolution on the photos to enlarge them. I am not sure that will help solve anything, though, or maybe I just do not know what to look for!

Thanks ndgoflo. Error-ref calls a rolling fold a Blanking Burr and has some photos of examples here:

While there are some similarities to this coin, their photos do not show the feature running along the rim. What about that?

I am still:

I have also seen this on other coins. I have just thrown them back as well. I just figured, it was part of the rim getting smashed down. Kinda like machine damage on other devices. It didn't look like much of a collector to me, which led to them getting recycled at the bank. Sorry I'm not much help either

Thanks, kurdlezuit. But I don't see evidence of the rim being smashed down. The rim appears to me to be complete all along this feature?

Would be better to see in hand but it looks like the edge of the die (the corner where the field drops off to form the rim) may be chipping or crumbling.

Thanks Condor101 - this started me thinking and looking further. Perhaps this is: Peripheral Die Expansion and Erosion.

See this explanation and tell me what you think:

The peripheral letter truncation seems to be just beginning on the S and T of TRUST, if this is what is going on.

I was thinking that what Condor101 and you too, Coinmaster, are describing is what the reference I found on peripheral die expansion and erosion (i.e.: crumbling) is also describing - no?

And yet another option: Peripheral die damage:

These last two, I think, are the most likely.

exactly, peripheral {outer boundary} erosion of the die. I suppose that classifies it as an error coin.

Thanks, CoinMasters - an error coin, but a minor one. However, I have not seen this before.

actually though if it is what we are thinking it might be extremely rare because it's on both sides.

I just don't know, but B J at error-ref gave me permission to send him photos, which I did today. I guess that there is no guarantee that he will look at them - or respond - but if he does, I'll let you know what he says.
