I bought this coin a few months ago, promptly misplaced it, found it again and just got it back from TPG.

Care to take a shot at what the grade came back as? Will post the grade Wednesday night.

The feather is not completely seperated from the hair so I have to go with F12

You guys are good and I appreciate your comments.

I thought ANACS was a little brutal with me on this coin. I definitely had a tough time with the small scratches behind the Indian's eye and in front of the Buffalo's hip as being more than results from normal circulation.

Anyway, "it is what it is" and I'll buy them all day long like this at what I paid for this one --- $500!

I like the price. Supprised they detaild it. I sold a 1916/16 with a big scratch across the face and a big green mold spot on the back and pcgs graded it vg 10 instead of what every one else including me agreed was a f 15. that was in may 2012 RedBook price $3,000 I got $7,000 and set the new price. if you look at sept 2012 Heritage sale its the same coin the buyer sold it thinking he'd get more and it sold for the same $7,000. Found that one in the bottom of a box of silver I bought.sat under my bed for 3 months after I sold everything else and my wife threatened to throw out the box if I didn't go through it. of course she took the money

Someone was having a bad day grading. I don't think those scratches would warrant a details grade
